Email tips, 3

Backing up mailers.

There are several good freeware programs. Those selected are from reliable sites and do a complete job as far as is known from reviews, I have not personally tested them.

Outlook Express Freebie Backup http://tinyurl.com/k8gza
Backup Outlook Express user identity and email (dbx files) various registry entries, the blocked sender list, message rules, address book, signatures etc. In addition, it offers several tools to customise OE settings, find DBX files and clone an identity.

MozBackup http://www.mozbackup.org/
Thunderbird keeps all the files you create in its Profile folder . It is a profile backup utility for Mozilla Suite, Firefox, and Thunderbird. This eliminates the need to find where your profile is stored, and it has options to backup just part of the profile.

Mailstore home http://tinyurl.com/yp5nof
It is the freeware home version of a commercial program which backs up several mailers including OE and Thunderbird
